Since Necroblivion first jumped onto the scene in 2020, the series has enjoyed a dedicated readership and seen (so far) five printed volumes with hundreds of pages of story.
While at a slower pace than previous years, work still continues on volume six but it’s release date is currently not set in stone. All scripts and layouts are done and the finishing is about 35% complete at this point.
Earlier this year I made an attempt to see if I could host the series online with backing from Patreon to provide an easier way for people to read the comic. Unfortunately, the amount of ridiculous hoops I had to jump through made it unbearable for the little support I was receiving so I backed off of that idea for the time being.
Right now, the comic is still available in the store in physical and digital editions. The only question at this point is…
A) Can the series be hosted online in a way that will offset my costs?
B) Can the series be hosted online in a way that I don’t have to censor and butcher the hell out of it?
That is why I’ve kind of hit the pause button because I’m not sure what direction to move at this point. Will I figure something out soon? I certainly hope so. Right now it’s not canceled just in a hiatus of sorts until I find something that works.
Assuming I figure out a way forward, the plan is still for book six to be the final book in the first series at which point we will begin the next arc.
I’m open to suggestions but at this point, that’s where it stands.
